It all started with a vision, a vision for the community and the youth most importantly, as we all know the youth is where it starts and its about the kids and making sure that our children of tomorrow have an education to become more than the stigma of society.

Zahida Wentzel, who is now the Founder and CEO of Strand Private Academy had that vision many years ago, she knew she had to do something when she started to notice the lack of education and care for children in her community.

She started a daycare centre at her house back in 2007, it was to serve the community due to working class parents who found it challenging for a suitable place to take care of their children, a women with a passion to take care and love children and always put them first.

Zahida’s mission was to establish and develop an environment for kids to learn and have fun at the same time, to create possibilities for learners who will strive for excellence in all areas of life, to teach morals and values and make leaders of tomorrow.
